FINALS IS OVERRRRRRRRRRRRR! IM SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW :')

Some problems we encountered today, the blood tablet did NOT work. It failed on us at the very last minute and also they seemed pretty..... old. We decided to find a substitution for it but it was too late. I just had to go on and perform with "imaginary" blood.

"2 minutes till showtime". The nervousness was already kicking in! & me being ME. I kept jumping and hopping around to shake it off but it my energetic movies came to no avail. I could not stop peeking from the holes behind the black boards. The amount of people..... is just too many. I think Wandy over-invited too many people. I was really happy that both my close friends were there to support me as well :D

Everything went well until scene 2. I was too nervous that I actually cried on stage. Since it was a crying scene, i cried even harder to make it seem surreal. I could feel that I was May, instead of Sher Ryn throughout the whole scene. I kind of exaggerated a little on my crying because I was literally screaming but all I can say right now is that, I gave my all this evening. I really hoped everyone enjoyed the play. 

The cheers and woos from the audience definitely lifted my spirits which lead to bringing up a more energetic performance. I tried really hard to not break out of character even though all eyes was on the screaming granny at the end. Thankfully I was able to resist and succeeded. 

I am so glad that both our groups did really well today. This is one of the most memorable course I've ever taken throughout my experience in ADP. Although it is Mr Rey's last semester here, I am really glad to be taken under his wing. I have learned so much from this class and also got out of my comfort zone. Thank you Mr Rey. All the best to you in future. See you this thursday! :-)

First things first, apparently our matchmaking scene didn't get the approval because it was pretty confusing for the audience :-( BUT we came up with something even better. Huhuhu. An epic ritual :D Kudos to YanZhang who found a really suitable song for our dance. Couldn't have done it without him!

We went all the way to Sri Hartamas to rent the costumes for our fellow mates, the bomoh, the chinese leader and not forgetting THE GRANNY! when Azri put on the dress and slapped on a wig while trying it out at the costume shop, all of us burst into laughter because it a really hilarious sight. Thank goodness he was sporting enough to play the granny. Dumdeedum, we also headed to Sunway the next day to get our props for the ritual scene.

ANYWAYS, dress rehearsals is TODAY! Hope everything goes well as PRACTICED. We can't afford to screw one month's worth of hardwork to waste! FINALS IS TOMORROW AYAIYAIYAI. I still do not feel the nervousness yet..... it'll kick in soon.

23rd

I am really happy to say that we're halfway through the bomoh scene! The scene starts of with a villager whose daughter is having a hard time finding herself a man and thus, BOMOH TO THE RESCUE! - by making a love potion for her. 

It was really funny seeing Ain covering her face with her hair because she acting as the not-so-pretty-looking daughter and the bomoh suggested to put her up on a match making website LOL. As i'm typing this out, my task is to find a scary song for our dance ritual, but it is TOUGH!! everything which i YouTube was irrelevant to what we needed. Sigh. This is gonna be tough. :-( I'm all worn out from practice tonight. Goodnight.

twennnnnty second

So far we have completed two whole scenes! The first scene would be a group of friends entering a  haunted house and end up the Ouija board. One of their friend gets possessed by the disturbed spirit in the end. The second scene will be the ghost having a conversation with the victim. Her dad would find her lying mercilessly on the floor and rushes to call up the doctor.

With the help of Shahirah & Ain, we practiced the stage combat where the victim would be thrown on the group without the ghost laying a finger on her. I practically threw myself on the ground at the first try and ended up with a bruise on my right arm. We also helped Minkyoung with the way she would've walked as a ghost who was chopped up into 99 pieces. We were all walking around in the room like lifeless zombies instead. We could only work on this tonight as not everyone came. Without their presence, there was nothing much we could do :| oh well, one more last scene to go!

21st!

Stayed back after moral class for practice again today. Its a month to the date of performance & we've not come up with anything yet! Today we practiced screaming in one of the ADP classes while other students were busy studying for their finals. (SO HARDWORKING!)

With the help of minkyoung, i got to learn to develop my scream. Based on my last post, I could only scream whenever someone else does it first. This was BAD NEWS to my fellow group members. We also practiced the scene where the possessed girl was to be dragged out of the scene helplessly. I was sweeping the floor with my clothes and to be honest, I hated it. I know that it is all part of the show and that sometimes you will have to sacrifice some stuff. Sigh.
Note to self, bring a jacket along instead! OH! and guess what? Azri will be playing a female role. It'll be a surprise! ;) Stay tuned.

20th

Hmm, so basically our "Malaysian Ghost Stories" was a little too complicating. It was supposed to be a group of students sitting around the campfire sharing ghost stories but we didn't get to do it. Mr Rey suggested that we did a bomoh ritual based on the mime putri, and we thought, "hey, why not?" it would still be a horror play except that we needed a possession to take place.

I honestly did not like the idea of it in the first place because there was no way I could be able to channel the inner ghost girl in me but everyone thought it was a great idea. Worst of all, I was told that there would be lots of screaming when playing the role of a possessed girl. SCREAMING isnt my thing at all! I would feel terrified and I would only scream whenever someone else did or when I was at the peak during a roller coaster ride. AHH! I hope i would be able to pull this off. *fingers crossed*

19th

Staying back in college on a tuesday night. We had fun tonight anyways.

We didn't know which story to start of with......... so we went with Azri's story.

It was about a family who was on the Karak Highway back to their hometown when they came across a night market at 3 am in the morning. They bought the food from the street vendors and returned to their car to find out that the food which they bought had turned into worms.

Azri was playing the dad's role with Wandy as the mother. Yan Zhang & I were to play as the siblings. Minkyoung was the vendor (the ghost) who would be selling "pau suri" with the help of shahirah. Ain was to act as a child on the tricycle while Behnood were to flip burger patties. OH! and Mark was our narrator.

I could not stop controlling my laughter when Wandy started flirting with Azri while being in their roles. We also came up with a pet name for him to call Azri, that was "honey mustard". I have no idea how we came about but it was just frickin' hilarious :D 

we practiced a couple of times and we have to show at least 2 mins of our performance to mr rey. hope it all goes well!
